Was at the "SECRET SHOW" at the flamingo in austin. I have to blame my friend Jorge for getting me hooked on them. I missed them at the killeen animix show, because I had to leave early.
Anyhow, back to the flamingo show...
I'm right up front, and after having watched every single youtube flick, and hearing from jorge about her antics... I'm both watching / enjoying the show, and trying to figure out exactly what kim's gonna do next. I just sorta gave up.. lol. But then it was getting to the last song, and knowing a little bit of what was coming next, I started heckling kim about me being the "BOY". I didn't know then, but time was an issue, and the regular "visual referance" runthrough was going to have to be forgone. The mandatory encore was just going to happen without it.
So, OED starts playing "monster". I'm mesmerized by the opening, as I always am... 'cause i love the song. Kim's thrashing out, jamming as usual. I'm fading in out close to the stage, and backing off a little cause I'm not sure where she's going.
She comes flying out into the crowd, and goes into her routine on the floor, right there in front of us. I was thinking, damn.. that's gotta hurt! because the floor was unevenly layed bricks.
She reaches the final point of the song, hands the guitar off to jorge, and struggles through the crowd to the stage. As she passes by me, she's trying to get back up on the stage, which was a little higher than my waist. (i'm 6' 1")
She looks like she's having difficulty, so I did the only thing i could think of...
I reach out, and proceed to give her some help up on the stage. Inadvertently, I grabbed her by the butt cheek. Not thinking or intending to, it just happened to be with her moving fast, and me reaching out... where i wound up. I heaved up, she grabbed speakers, and ran over the drum set and full on into #3 jr.
Freaking awesome show....
After the show, myself, Jorge, alyssa and jeff get to hang out woth the group out back. It was pretty cool. Kim and the boy's took pictures with us, were very gracious hosts.
She never said a word about my accidental contact.
Very professional... I thought " cool, at least she's not mad about it... or something.."

Halloween comes, and jorge and his family have worked hard to organize the VFW show. I helped as much as possible, but the credit goes to them.
I'm just happy the guys are coming to play killeen.
Out of their own pocket at that.!
Very cool. They're stuck in austin's wonderful traffic, running late... they get there, we all chip in and help get 'em set up.
I had dressed as the "boyfriend" from the Nudie Bar explosion. I get picked to be the "boy" for the runthrough session. COOL!!!
I had been thinking that it's just part of the show. I loved it because of that... the showmanship, and interaction with the crowd.
So anyhow... the countdown starts, and it goes against everything in me... but I hold still as kim gets set to slap me.
DAMN SHE CAN HIT!!! Here I was thinking it was just part of the show... lol. NOPE... lemme tell you I felt it. She hit me as hard as she could.
And of course.... #3 wasn't satisfied...
So I get hit again. But this time, i flinched away. I reacted even though everything in my head was saying stay still.
So, I get it again!
She hit me even harder the second time! And then with the appropiate contempt... wiped my makeup off her hands on my shirt. lol....
The show finished as usual, awesome as always.
And the guys were breaking stuff down. kim was hanging out at the merch table... we helped out getting their car loaded back up, and just chilled out with them for a couple of minutes.
Great time, loved the show, really cool sets, and kimberley was sick as a dog, coughing the whole show... but never once stopped it. A real trooper.
I still wonder... did I get hit harder than others for a reason? lol...
Was it because of my accidental grab the weeks prior? Was it because I, at that time represented to a "T" the ultimate boy? The one from the Nudie Bar?
Or was that just Kim's usual full out no holds barred self?

my and my husbands first show
let's see we was at animix. and it was the day before the wedding. me and jeff my husband. was looking for something to do. he said lets go to the consert. i said ok. but we was early. so we went to the room it was being held in and waited. while waiting i got mad at jeff for something. and not to forget we was sitting by eyeshine the band that played our reception. but back to oed. soon after the concert started. we instently found a place up front. as kimberly song and played her guitar and pj played the drums. jason was still a producer back then. as they played my husband and me really started to get more in to the music. by the end of the concert we was blown away. we went to the merch table. we got every cd. the next day oed was at our wedding. we can never think them enough for that. and since animix. we got my dad in to them at stubbs. and we made every consert we could. we had fun with the day before holloween show. and we didn't know kimberly was sick or we would have canceled but kimberly wanted to play. and they still rocked our socks off. since then me and my husband has turned our costumes in to our concert clothes.
