CHOOSE YOUR PRICE FOR FULL ALBUM DOWNLOADS

Our fans have been so wonderful to us.. I'm consistently overwhelmed by your kindness, love and overall aweseome-ness. You've inspired me more than you know. You'll find out soon just how much.. I've been plotting. :P

Anyway.. here's the dealio.

I think everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy and experience art. One of my greatest joys is giving my music to people who can't afford to buy it, and it's a huge honor when people can contribute their hard-earned money toward my dreams. I really think that any artist would agree with me.

What I'm saying is this.. I don't like putting a price on our music, so I'm going to leave that to you.

You can now choose how much you'd like to pay for any full album download on the official website, even my solo stuff. If you can't pay anything, I want you to have the album anyway.. If you can contribute something, I'm grateful for that, too.

The full album downloads used to be set at a minimum price, but I'd really rather just give it to those who can't afford it and allow others to set their own value.

Thank you for loving my music as much as I love to make it!

FEATURED FORUM TOPIC: "A Kiss from a Doll" by MuffyStopheles

This past Labor Day weekend was my first time back to Dragon*Con in about 6 years. I am so glad I decided go!

Originally, the group I was with wanted to attend the Pirate Ball. That got vetoed somewhere along the way and we found ourselves at the Mad Scientists Ball instead. Lucky us!

At the beginning of the Ball, we were all seated on the floor, but as soon as the signs of a band started, we ran to the stage. I didn't know what to expect, having never heard of OED before. To my surprise and delight, a gorgeous, doll-like girl came on stage (her clothes reminiscent of Emilie Autumn) with a drummer. I was intrigued already. Only two?...

Despite what the Dragon*Con Green Lanyards said "Don't break the barrier!", and after some thrashing about, (making the chairs and stage lights alike akimbo) Kimberly instructed us to do quite the opposite."Oops! I broke the barrier between you all and me...what ever shall we do? I want you to take one giant step forward, and sit down, grab a blanket, because it's story time." And as soon as I heard her sweet voice, I knew there was much more than what was being shown. I wasn't wrong. I was amazed by her axe kicks and blown away by her vocals, sweet and guttural alike. Luckily, when the barrier was broken,I'd managed to snag a chair, about two feet from the stage.

Turns out, Kimberly is one of the fiercest pit chicks I've ever encountered, throwing herself to the wind, with only bodies to stop her. After several encounters with photographers, she finally flung herself in my direction. Not really wanting a boot in the face, I managed to tactically duck and weave, to leave her to land on my husband! He caught her, and head banged along with her, as she wildly played guitar. After a time, he realized she probably wanted back on stage. Yelling, "Lift her up!" he lifted her above his head to find that he was the only one holding her. She almost fell, so he caught her again, and helped her back on her feet.

I was in love.
Wait.
Fix that.
Who WASN'T in love?!

The girl had everyone enraptured.

At the end of the (sadly) very short set, she threw her boa to the crowd. Right before this, I saw her hat underneath my chair. I snatched it as I was caught between two girls grasping the boa. (Luckily a guy came to the rescue with a knife to split it =D) I turned to my husband and waved the hat at him, smiling.

Firstly, we wanted to keep it. But I quickly realized I would be distraught if I lost a hat of mine. My husband came up with a brilliant plan.

We quickly headed to the booth to get the posters that were being passed back signed. After Kimberly signed both our posters, I said, "One more thing...we found your hat..." my husband took off his top hat, and revealed hers hidden inside.

"You guys are so SWEET!" she squealed. But before I relinquished the hat, I grinned and said "We'll give it back to you for a kiss."

She promptly grabbed my face and planted a big smooch on my cheek. I pointed to my husband and asked if he could have one as well. She said yes very enthusiastically and gave him one too!

We were quite pleased! In the end, I bought a shirt, a bracelet and the 'Monster' cd. Kimberly very sweetly gave me a matching Monster poster. =)

All in all, OED = amazing.

FEATURED FORUM TOPIC: "Well, here I am." by ATLJustin

My name is Justin. I am 25 years old, and I love rock and roll, but have been fairly jaded the last few years due to the rise of very "emo" music. I am sure you know what I mean. One of the greatest examples is "I hate my life" by Theory of a Deadman. This kind of music makes me want to retch and then burn the world in cleansing fire. So for the last two years, my radio has almost exclusively set to country. Anyways, here's my Doll story and how my "One Eye" got opened.

I live in Atlanta, Ga and I bought my 4 day pass to DragonCon. Honestly, it's a big gathering of dorks, dweebs, and geeks, and I am proud to call myself one of them. Fast-forward to me looking at the various musical acts. I notice Voltaire will be playing, and also a band I had heard a small mention about, named ArcAttack. They play music using 2 Tesla Coils. Well, I lost my flyer, and so I came back to the ad/merch booth to find out when and where ArcAttack was playing. The table was scattered with various items from two bands. ArcAttack, and some band that I'd never heard of named One Eyed Doll. Behind said table, sat this unassuming, beautiful long haired brunette who spoke with a child's innocence and smiled with her whole heart. I asked her kindly to let me know when AA was playing, and she was almost giddy while writing down the info. I'll never forget this next part. She hands me the information, and says, "Well, the Mad Scientist's Ball starts at 10, and my band will be opening up for only like 20 minutes, before Attack comes on."

Now mind you, this wasn't a plug. This woman just told how her band will be playing, but it was nothing. I ended up talking to her about her band, and getting a poster from her. She let me and another convention participant sit with her, and talk like normal people. Once it hit a certain time, her lovely face was creased with worry. "Where, are my guys at? I need to get all this stuff to the showroom." She wondered.

She then looked at me and Muppet, and asked if we would mind helping her carry the merch and other items to the show. We both were gentleman and acquiesced with a smile. She thanked us by giving us awesome OED work shirts. Even with injured feet, I carried a 75 pound box up 3 flights of stairs and across a busy Atlanta road to get to where the show was. Honestly, I would do it again and again. Kimberly is just so sweet and genuine, that you want to make her smile.

Fast-forward again to the show. Kim gets her makeup done at the very last minute due to timing, Number 3 doesn't have the time. They are introduced, and since they opened for AA, there was a half-circle of chairs in front of the stage blocking us fans from being too close to the Coils. First song Kim played, she dedicated to all the convention crazies. :) It was called Committed. This was the first time, I have experienced such incredible joy and admiration for someone who screams for a living. She was having fun, and you could tell. She did backbends, axe-kicks, and played while standing on the ring of chairs, supported by the crowd. On her way back tot he stage, she must have kicked a light over, and of course the chairs were in a disarray.

In her cute little baby-girl voice she says "Oops! I broke the barrier between you all and me...what ever shall we do? I want you to take one giant step forward, and sit down, grab a blanket, because it's story time." She uses this as an opener for Monster, and again she blows my mind. Unfortunately she only got to play 4 songs. I spent the next few hours lingering by her merch booth, helping out, and trying to drum up an encore performance for her. She made me her Atlanta Street Team. Interacting with her and Number 3 was more fulfilling than watching the electricity sing. I had fallen head over heels. I probably spent like 460-$80 on merch from OED. Finally at 2am, my efforts prove true, and the crowd (who had cycled due to capacity limits) was treated to the Face-melting orchestra of OED one more time. And I loved every minute of it. I even got spit on, and like dollparts, got to wear one of the amazing hats.

Thank you Kimberly, for being such a wonderful person. I wish you lived closer, so I could go to more of your shows. You have a fan for life.

~~~Justin
FEATURED FORUM TOPIC: "The Neverending OED Story", by doll parts
So I am thinking about how did I become such a OEd fan. It all started in January this year when I had just moved here. My cousin invited me to Dixie's in S.A. and I remember seeing Kimberly's poster on the wall. I was very drawn to Kimberly's look and something about it intrigued me from the beginning.I've ALWAYS thought people with pale transculent skin and brunette long hair are the most gorgeous (yes, I am jealous of your skeen Kimberly!) and the poster had Kimberly in a corner, baring her arms to the world and looking quite beautiful and sad at the same time. I was studying The writings on her arms and face silently analyzing the symbolism of "am I pretty" "I am your monster" when my cousin saw me lookin at it and--knowing I love live rock music--said "that's OED, she's really awesome". Chrissy Bliss, a bartender and fellow rocker was there and we all started talking about OED and other bands I should see.
I looked up the OED myspace the next day and I was spun into this world that I had been looking for. I watched all the videos and suddenly became very excited. I am realizing while writing this that out of all the hundreds of rock shows I have seen in the last 10 years I have NEVER seen a real female rocker live...unless you count the girl band Slunt...and I don't. I had heard about the greats like COurtney Love, Janis Joplin, and riot grrl acts that I so wished I couldve seen but this...it was like Kimberly stepped out of an amp from the 90s when chicks rocked HARD. It's like my total dream came true. I didn't know girls still rocked like this. and I was GLAD someone was finally representing.
So it's Valentine's Day. I'm single. I'm in a new city. And I see that OED is playing. I'm alone for the third year in a row so I think I don't know how to drive in Austin and I hear 6th street is dangerous but I'd rather have an adventure than sit at home moping. So I drive an hour to 720 room by myself and I sit at the bar and order a drink and try to be friends with everyone. I was not sure what the Austin scene or people were like but I am used to snobby people (having partied in the likes of Atlanta and college towns) and I am also kind of shy at times. This was crazy! I almost started to leave thinking about lost loves and betrayals and Here I am sitting at a bar myself in Austin....and then I saw her. Kimberly bounced in the front door like she was just a regular person (which in all my experience band people never do) and I just knew it was her. She just had like this pure aura of welcoming prescense and confidence. I don't know WHAT came over me because I usually wouldn't do this but I went straight over to her and introduced myself. I really thought she might be like fake "oh hi, leave me alone" but she hugged me and smiled and was so nice. My first Vday hug was from Kimmie and she didn't even know it. She asked me my name (now I know she was storing it in that impressive memory of hers) and said she would see me later. Well I was really happy and that would've been enough but later when I went in to see the show she came over and said my name and offered me brownies. I was SO touched by this you have no idea that she remembered my name. I almost felt like she was my new friend in my new city of strangers haha. I stood at the front of the stage and just smiled the whole time from beginning to end. The show was everything I wanted it to be and more. A really one of a kind show. Finally! SOmething unique and different. Finally someone who isn't afraid! She really broke me in as a newbie whether on purpose or accident I don't know but I felt pretty special that I got jumped on and spit on..even got her liberty hat put on me, (the next day I had bruises all over my knees from falling all over the stage, whiplash from my neck and my back hurt. If you look at the black and white pics from the night you will see why and IT WAS GREATTT). At the end of the night, I got Number 3s broken dumstick and as I was leaving Kimberly gave me a rose when I went to the merch table to tell her how much I enjoyed her show. My Valentine's presents. It meant so much to me. More than a card and some silly jewelry I probably would never wear. I still have the rose and the drumstick. It really just made my Vday complete.
My face hurt from smiling at the end of that night and even though I was single it was honestly the BEST Valentine's Day I have ever had and wouldn't have traded it for a "romantic dinner for two" ever.
